Gulfstream Aerospace is a world leader in business aviation, known for designing and manufacturing cutting-edge private aircraft that set the standard for performance, safety, comfort, and innovation.
At Gulfstream, my primary focus as a Product Designer was within the Advanced Cabin R&D team, where I explored next-generation digital experiences for passengers and crew. I led the design of cabin technology solutions that seamlessly connected embedded displays, mobile devices, and wearables—enhancing everything from in-flight comfort controls to real-time flight information and interactive mapping experiences.
My work centered on creating intuitive, user-centered digital ecosystems that pushed the boundaries of what a connected cabin could be, turning complex aviation systems into simple, elegant interactions for users at 40,000 feet.
While much of this work is confidential, selected projects can be shared upon request or in a personal conversation.

Cabin Management System: Opportunity
Imagine a beautifully designed, intuitive digital ecosystem that puts total cabin control at your fingertips—whether you’re a flight attendant managing critical systems or a passenger setting the perfect mood for your journey.
This app, available on both Android and iOS, will let crew seamlessly adjust lighting, temperature, water, and electrical systems, while passengers can create custom lighting experiences, stream movies from the cabin server, and explore real-time flight information—all through a single, elegant interface.
Cabin Comfort: Passenger app
The digital journey begins with the passenger. With the Cabin Comfort app—available on iOS and Android—travelers can download the app and, once connected to their aircraft, unlock a personalized control center for their entire cabin experience.
From adjusting lights and window shades to checking real-time flight information, calling an attendant, managing volume and presets, or streaming movies, TV shows, exterior cameras, and more—the app gives passengers complete control of their environment, all through a sleek, intuitive interface designed to feel as effortless as it is powerful.

Cabin Comfort: Crew app
With the tap of a button, any onboard device can be granted “crew” permissions from the main control hub, located in the aircraft galley, instantly unlocking advanced features designed for the crew keeping the cabin running smoothly.
Crew devices gain access to extended controls for crew-only areas like the rest quarters, galley, vestibule, and lavatories. They can receive real-time cabin calls from passengers or pilots needing assistance and quickly manage critical systems such as water and electrical—all from a single, intuitive interface.

Cabin Comfort: Passenger tablet app
Through user studies, we discovered a strong demand for a tablet-optimized version of the Cabin Comfort app. Many customers love placing their devices on built-in ledge holders, creating a hands-free way to watch movies, check flight information, and adjust cabin settings.
For our older customers especially, the larger screens, bigger touch targets, and easy-to-read text make the experience more comfortable and accessible—turning the tablet into a perfect control hub for both entertainment and ambiance.

Cabin Comfort: Crew Tablet app
Cabin Comfort sits at the center of the Gulfstream Experience, giving crew members powerful, intuitive control over every aspect of the cabin environment.
Embedded crew controls—located in the galley and vestibule of every Gulfstream aircraft—serve as the command center. From here, trained personnel can manage lighting, window shades, entertainment and media across all main cabin displays, create and save custom presets, and fine-tune ambient temperature in every zone.
Beyond comfort, the crew control system provides access to critical aircraft systems—including water tanks, electrical breakers, internet connectivity, and even the maintenance portal—ensuring smooth operations and quick troubleshooting when needed.
