My design journey began in 1999 when I watched IDEO reimagine the shopping cart. Seeing a team brainstorm, prototype, and turn ideas into reality blew my mind and set me on a path to do the same.

That passion led me to the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I earned a degree in Industrial Design, SCAD gave me the foundation to think like a designer - curious, strategic and relentlessly focused on the user. It also taught me that great design doesn’t just happen; it takes collaboration, iteration and the courage to challenge assumptions.

Fast forward 20 years, and I’ve led cross-functional teams to turn big, messy challenges into meaningful experiences across industries from consumer tech and aerospace to digital platforms. Along the way, I’ve led award-winning teams, implemented design systems, and partnered with marketing, engineering, and product groups to bring ideas to life.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me playing guitar, exploring the outdoors, or wrangling our three kids.

For me, design isn’t just a career, it’s a way of seeing the world as it could be.

LEAD PRODUCT DESIGNER

Roku | 2021 — Present

Design guided setup and seamless access experiences that help millions of users go from opening the box to streaming with minimal friction. Work on on-boarding flows, remote control interactions, cross-platform consistency, and identity management—sometimes designing new setup flows for devices like remotes, headphones and soundbars, other times navigating the challenges of third-party TVs, platform requirements, legal constraints, and global accessibility standards.

Partner with PMs, engineers, and research teams to shape feature strategies, scope UX efforts, and ensure designs follow—or evolve—our design systems. From there, I guide visual designers on redlines, animations, and assets, collaborate with localization experts to ensure global readiness, and bake accessibility standards into every solution.

Along the way, I present to UX leadership and SVPs, mentor junior designers, and rely on tools like Figma, Jira, Illustrator, Photoshop and Confluence to document and deliver designs that turn complexity into clarity for users worldwide.
